METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER

Even Hideo Kojima knows that Portable Ops wasn't good enough.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is the "true sequel" to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the PSP. Taking place in 1974, the game depicts Big Boss getting over what occurred in Operation: Snake Eater while building up Militaires Sans Frontiers, his "military without borders" which eventually becomes Outer Heaven.

Peace Walker, originally developed to be Metal Gear Solid 5, plays like a mixture of classic and modern Metal Gear Solid with co-op gameplay thrown in. The game also employs a lot of the RPG-like mechanics from Portable Ops albeit in a more fun and less obnoxious manner. The end package is a decent Metal Gear game that's completely unnecessary, but nonetheless quite fun.
