They could have at least released it as a game for touchscreen phones. Guess I should check back up on that radio drama.

There was a new episode in July, but there wasn't a post about it here or kojima tweet either so I didn't see it 'til now.

I would like a PSN release. I know it and Policenauts on the Japan store. But is it the playstation version there or PCEngine? I'd prefer the SegaCD version.

You'd be able to tell by what section it's in. I think PCEngine has it's own section and I'm fairly certain the JPN has it's own version of PS Classics.
...
I never knew about Snatcher being on Japanese PSN though. That's pretty cool.

J-PSN has a "Game Archives" Section with both PCE and PS1 titles.
Neither the PCE nor PS1 versions of Snatcher have been released, last time I checked.

I think Konami refuses to re-release it because Katrina's age could get them into legal trouble.
The age of consent is still 14 in Japan, but only by national law; There's not a single prefecture left that has an AOC under 16.

I guess they figure that since Snatcher was on PS1, then it's playable on both 6th and 7th Generation consoles, due to backwards compatability.

Wouldn't be a problem with the Sega CD's retcon.

So was MGS1, and that's much easier to find a physical copy of.

They just don't want to because the original didn't sell well and modern marketing is basically following everyone else and even Capcom has cooled the fuck down with those sort of games in the west especially.

It only sold poorly in the West. From what I heard, Snatcher on the PC-Engine was a hit and remained in the System's top-sellers for a couple years after release. To this day, there's enough copies in supply that the price for one is around 30 bucks.

He posted a couple snatcher-related pics that are in the "interpret kojima's tweets thread".
