Sunny for sure, also we'll definitely know something revolving around Rose and little Raiden. I wouldn't be surprised if Solid Snake is still around in some fashion. Otacon too if Sunny is involved. Maybe Campbell. Maybe Meryl and Johnny. I tihnk we'll get flashbacks to Solidus too.

But in all honesty I think 90% of the cast will be entirely new people and the game will want to distance itself far from the old.

i really liked Olga she felt different from some of the other mgs characters, but be fair i don't know how could she return besides being a skin

Alt-skin is fine of course. That's just extra content for fans, although it's kind of a gimmick one that's extremely superficial.

In a related, but not exactly the same topic, what happened to just being satisfied with imagining? The skin itself would be superficial only, so it wouldn't "bring" Olga or Grey Fox anywhere.

The only people I want involved are...

Rose and little Raiden (This is un-ignorable), they don't need to play too big a role. Just some codec calls from Rose worrying about Raiden are enough. Raiden doing this becasue he doesn't want a world in which his son has to go through the shit he did.

Sunny- necessary if they're attempting to bridge the gap of events that led to Raiden's cyborgization. His rescuing her from area 51. Also she does worry about him. An older version of her which you know KojiPro and Platinum will fetish-ize could work as the 'Otacon-replacement' for codec intelligence/tech etc.
