There's better brands too. Also, don't get fooled by the guacamole dips. Those suck.

I'm back bitches, with some more badass cooking. This one isn't much of a big deal at all, but I'm still gonna talk about it cuz it was pretty goddman, motherfuckin' tasty.

Check this shit out:

That's cookie butter. It's from Trader Joe's. It's fuckin' good. Pretty much goes with anything related to bread. What I did this morning was use it with waffles. But I don't just stop there. Hell no. I made eggs too. And bacon. And then I made a sandwich. I made an egg, bacon and cookie butter sandwich with waffles. And it was good. Damn good. And if you feel particularly rambunctious in the morning, put some syrup on it too. Now that's a fucking sweet-tooth surprise bitch. And I like to balance out the sweetness with some spiciness, so I put some Red Rooster on it too. Shit was swell as balls.

And now as an added bonus, just a little tiny bit of something extra. You know how there are chicken quesadillas? Those are pretty good. You know what makes them better? Bacon. Bacon and chicken quesadillas. Damn good man. Just bacon quesadillas themselves are good enough. And easy to make too. You can just hit up Walmart and get all 3 items right quick. Bag of tortillas. Bag of cheese. Bag of microwaveable bacon. That's it. Well, hot sauce too, cuz you gotta put hot sauce on everything basically. But yeah, just throw two handfuls of cheese between two tortillas and lay down your microwaveable bacon over the cheese. Throw it in the microwave for just 85 second and you're good to go. It's easy as shit and tastes like a heavenly pig that's been rolling in nacho cheese. Give it a shot.

Nope, got rid of those a long time ago. Didn't need 'em.

Pfft, real men don't care too much of arteries! They like flavor, spice and meat.

I have a Traders right around the corner. I'm going to have to check it out. COOKIE BUTTER! Sounds too good to be true!

What is in that box?

Basically, the only processed food Big Boss eats ingame: Instant Ramen and Calorie Mate cookies.

Actually, I think they are way too thick and condensed to be considered cookies. They remind me of the fill inside Twix chocolate bars, but even more dense.

It all started as a joke while I was in japan. My brother is a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, and these Calorie Mate things appear in the third game, so when I saw they were selling them in a kiosk at a train station, I bought one for him. A friend of mine was with me and he was shocked, like "why are you buying that?". I tried to explain to him, but I guess my japanese is not good enough and I probably said something on the lines of "It's a game thing and we (my brother and I) like it a lot".

When I got back from Japan, my friend told me that he wanted to send some of this stuff to me. I thought he would be sending one or two items, not a box full of food!

Actually, I was thinking on doing some kind of article about the stuff that Snake / Big Boss eats during the games (mostly making fun of it), then submitting it to Ravi. I was thinking on entitling it something like "Eating like Snake, but not snakes".

Haha..that story of how they came about is pretty cute. I think that is a HUGE box of food! and what a surprise that had to be!

This sounds like a great idea. I think you should do it.

When will that be?

Today before work I made my Gpop one of his favorite dishes.

Hot and Sweet Italian Sausages with peppers and onions.

Wash and slice your peppers. I love color in food, so I bought yellow, red and green. Green peppers are green,,but whatever. He likes peppers!
You saute them in a touch of oil...slow because you want to saute them, no fry them!

You then slice up a giant sweet white onion. I don't know how people eat these things, but again...he loves them and it's his dish! By the way, he doesn't know I'm making it for him so he will be so surprised today!
You add the onion after the peppers have cooked down some as they take a bit longer to cook. Onions not so long. Again,,,over a low to medium flame because you don't want to fry these pretty colorful vegtables! Also..leave them somewhat firm...not soggy, just tender firm..You know what I mean...right?

As this is going on, you boil the sausages for about...20 minutes. Drain them and add them to the same pan you did your peppers and onions in. You will brown them to your liking...or to perfection. Again,,take it slow you don't want to burn them!

When all done, present them on a pretty platter in an artistic way... Rolling Eyes
Food always looks better on a pretty platter. Sure I can dump this all in a bowl or a crappy store bought foil tray or crappy tupperware,,,but this is for my Gpop and I love him.

Served with crusty Italian Bread (with butter of course) is a perfect lunch. I hope this says how much I love him.

So...when is the ice cream event?

Still in the planning stages I guess, but probably during the summer. So if you happen to be in California sometime then, well, ICE CREAM PARTY.

Oh, that sounds really like an even I would love...my friend invited me out to Comic Con to California but I will be in school still! But I'm going to my own here as Black Canary...got my outfit last night. I'm pretty excited. My boss is going as Virgil from Devil May Cry..

You guys will have to post pictures of your ice cream event.

My Grandfather was really happy with what I made him. You should try it, its really pretty good I hear. (I don't like Italian Sausage or those peppers or onions)...lol.
