Thank you for that sir. Saved.

Yea, nice shop'!

Given the very likely case that this game indeed features Big Boss, what do we most likely have:

1. Big Boss in the 80's and he will probably not go nuts at all. (Less AIs, more dogs, more jungle, more camouflage, Peace Walker-esque mission based gameplay, some sort of headquarters(MSF style), MGO3 madness, transfarring

2. Something rather new like we had in Peace Walker(territory where we had little to no information. Boss also somehow takes his MSF crew to all missions)

3. MGS5- Battle for Outer Heaven, the strategy game

4(not so likely). Boss in the 90's , anything related with Solid Snake, or the Outer Heaven state because this will be the 50th anniversary game.

I hope it's not divided into missions like PW was or even acts like MGS4, an MGS game should be continuous. Also I hope there's no recruitment shit with the Fulton. Also less Huey, English woman, Chico and more Eva, Ocelot and Grey Fox.

Great post though Ravi, you've got me hyped.

More like 8 to 17 years old. If the game's going to have Solid in it then 1988 or 89 would be ideal choices.
Hayter will probaby have to tone down the gravely voice since this game will probably try to be cute and explain Snake's love for cigarettes.

Not that this matters since that art Shinkawa was working on is probably just for the 25th Anniversary.

Well I guess Diamond Dogs means these guys are soldiers of war getting paid in blood diamonds. They also like a very 'meh' Bowie album. Why have hope when its going to be another retconn installment?

It will probably retcon Gray Fox and Outer Heaven and whatnot, for sure.

What caught my interest by the way is that they are recruiting for California, does that mean that if they find the right people, will they outsource the Boss project or the some collaboration. Is this Shinkawa art inspiration for the future and is Kojima really solely working on the "Ogre" project?

Look at the dog. Metal Gear Bob from our forums mentioned that it looks like a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Huh, I thought for sure it was meant to be a foxhound, though maybe its a little too big? Anyway, I guess the breeds are closely related enough.

Actually, 1988 would be the best.

Why?

[CODEC CALL]
Snake: So Boss... the elections are coming up.
Big Boss: Yeah, and?
Snake: I was wondering, who're ya gonna vote for?
Big Boss: I don't really pay attention to politics. It's all just a bunch of men in suits who act like they can run the world.
Snake: Normally I would agree, (believe me), but I've got my eye on one candidate...
Big Boss: Who?
Snake: You ever heard of Ron Paul?
Big Boss: Never.
Snake: He's running for the Libertarian Party. I like his stuff. He's honest, he seems to know what he's talking about, he's against government involvement in people's lives (which means he's not just some guy in a suit who thinks he can run the world), and he's extremely consistent.
Big Boss: Consistent? Ha. I find that hard to believe.
Snake: Why?
Big Boss: People's values change with the times. What one person thinks is right one day can change as he gets older.
Snake: That's not always true. I'll bet you that Ron Paul will be saying the same things he's been saying, twenty years from now!
Big Boss: Hmph. Whatever you say.
Snake: One thing I really like about him is that, despite being very anti-war, he still gets support from veterans.
Big Boss: Pipe it down, rookie!
Snake: ?
Big Boss: You've dedicated your life to the art of battle. If your fat cat politician becomes the Commander and Chief, you and I will be out of a job.
Snake: I dunno... maybe that's for the bes-
Big Boss: Get. Back. To. The Mission. Rookie. And don't let me hear you say anything like that again!
Snake: :sigh: Alright, Boss.

I hope we do get a late 80's timeline with this installment. I want to see the interaction with Big Boss and Solid..or with a Grey Fox. While I won't hold my breath, Liquid or info about him would be nice. Others have mentioned it, it would be nice to maybe see a parallel story telling structure. Where say..we have BB doing his deal at the same time events in another part play out with Solid. hmmm To be honest, Kojima should infuse a bit of nonlinear narrative in to mix things up a bit. Have things start out at Outer heaven where BB is flashing back to tell the events that have transpired over the course of a few years leading up to Outer Heaven itself. Wishful thinking perhaps..

I only want to see big boss go insane, outer heaven is irrelevant because is inevitable.
c'mon we already know what liquid and dave where doing at the time,(green berets stuff, and middle east wetworks) we don't need a game or a new piece of media to explain what already was summed up on a few sentences many years before it, we know how that shit usually ends up.

ko¿inda tired to interquels to prequels that dosen't affect the original "piece" of media, converting a lot of sidestories and subplots into "new products", just keep those stories to your imaginations, you don't need anyone to explain you how liquid got his deapers changed in 1979, because his daddy issues dosen't alowed him to crap at his own will until he got 15 years.

In all fairness, none of what we've been getting since MGS3 (at least) has been necessary or useful. I agree with you, I'm just saying, you can apply it to this entire game just by the fact that it's about Big Boss.
