The whole thing stank. But our noses had been out in the cold for too long.

*sighs* Brings back so many memories. I remember first playing the demo of MGS2 that came with a magazine here where I live. At the time MGS2 was without a doubt the best looking console game. Good times.

Has anyone else ever wondered who Snake was telling that story to? I mean, it makes a lot of sense that he's explaining this to Olga during the whole "Escort Emma" bit, but since it's never actually mentioned, he could have just grabbed some random guard in the Big Shell and started telling him his life's story.

Godammit, he´s telling Raiden.

Check the Codec Scene right after Prez Johnsons Death. Raiden will ask Snake about the events on the tanker and Snake will start his story with exactly the same words. Then you´ll see some flashbacks and a website with the photos of MG Ray.

I believed it was commom knowledge.

I just recalled a strange thing on my last playthrough of MGS2 before fighting Vamp at the pool.
Raiden says "Emma's alive?" and I wonder why he was so fuckin surprised. Maybe I missed something.
