And would the indoctrination effects of the Reaper corpses still work if they were, you know, "Destroyed" destroyed?
that's a good question. but maybe because the reapers were all connected(i could be wrong here) another one could just take over from where the other destroyed one left off. but then again i think the journal thing said being in the area of reapers and reaper tech in general can increase the strength of influence they have. shrug.
Yep, once again, it's indoctrination or bust. This is probably the most comprehensive video (and at an hour & 20 minutes, it damn better well be comprehensive) we'll get until the Extended Cut comes out. God I hope Bioware doesn't drop the ball on this one. This'd really be a punch to the dick.

I'm just bothered the whole interview sounds like Casey and the others are still blaming consumers for their subpar ending.
Also, did anyone else notice how whenever Casey mentions the ending and says something about it "bringing closure" he then says something like "it gives an idea of what will happen next.... after we say goodbye to the universe". He does it about three or four times, like he's teasing MASS EFFECT 4 but there's a producer or EA rep in the room shaking their head at him continuously.

Maybe he's just hinting at FUTURE DLC. I'd rather ME4, if it was going to be made, to be far off into the future so that they can shape the political structure of the Milky Way all over again.

That's the BioWare way! "We never do anything wrong, it's you people who just don't understand our artistic vision! You're obligated to buy and like all our games. If you say anything negative on our forums we will ban the fuck out of you. There is no such thing as criticism of our product. We make sure of that."

New ending is out. Beautiful, and I loved it. It was perfect and answered all the questions people had including:
-Was Shepard really there?
-Why was Joker already in a Mass Relay jump?
-What happened to everyone I saved...?
-What about all those Mass Relays?
-Did the Krogan, Asari, Turians and everyone else get home?
ALL OF IT ANSWERED. Also, Indoctrination Theory is dead, and was completely wrong.

Yep, the clarification was much appreciated, and this new information makes me rethink my decision now. Oh, and the Refusal ending is an awesome addition, even if I don't think anybody will even pick it. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the new endings, considering the shit they had to work with.
EXCEPT I still mourn the loss of the Indoctrination Theory. It was SO fucking solid man. It was perfect. Why couldn't BioWare just pull it out of their ass and say that they planned it all along? They would have been heralded as legendary story-crafting heroes of the gaming world man! They could have even been like "SURPRISE NIGGA, MASS EFFECT 4 COMING 2015 FINISH THE FUCKING FIGHT NIGGER!!!" (but that would have pissed EVERYONE off, but I would have lol'd). Really is a giant bummer.
But I suppose they never did explain all those Reaper growls still, or how those piles of bodies that resemble Kaidan and Ashley from ME1 got there...
THEORY STILL VALID, ALL IN SHEP'S HEADSPACE YO!!!
Still waiting for closure on that Destroy ending. Are we gonna get to play as Shep in a post-game DLC they delayed to work on (read: finish) the game's ending? DO YOU GET TO GIVE JACK THAT PLOWING LIKE YOU PROMISED HER IF YOU PICKED HER BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT HER LIZBETH SALANDER ROUTINE WAS TEH SEX!?

I did find it funny that they added a refusal ending. I turned and shot the kid (as I always do for the lols) and this horrendous ending with a "female Stargazer" end credits sequence played telling us we'd lost. I think that was a clever "fuck you" from Bioware to all the people who went after them. Or maybe it was just a legal thing since they promised it wouldn't be an "A, B, or C choice at the end". So they made a D to get BBB off their backs or something.
I think the DESTROY ending is the canon ending. Just like in the books the "Kill off the Council" and "Udina is Council Member" choices were canon, and the "Destroy the Reaper Base" option was canon in ME2. It's probably why it's the only ending in CG that gives us a chance for Shepard to come back.
I don't think there will be post-game DLC. I think if anything we might see DLC where Shepard heads to Omega to help Aria out or something since her battle was documented in a whole four-issue prequel comic and she pretty much tells him he has to help her out since she gave him troops. I do believe that since that scene wasn't removed or altered like many other parts of the ending were, that it's a very obvious nod to MASS EFFECT 4.
We were told in the past when different people were interviewed to "keep your Mass Effect 3 save!" when they were asked if Mass Effect 4 was a possibility, and that they had "crazy things" on the way. Unless they were just referring to never ending character/weapons packs for multiplayer, but I don't think that's the case. I'm just happy that the game ends on a good note, I'm still a bit bummed we don't get to destroy Harbinger or fight the Illusive Man or... You know... Have a FINAL BOSS but whatever, I'll get over it.
ALL the new endings have been posted. These are the endings with the best possible outcome. Only things that change are the still images, because those directly relate to Paragon/Renegade options throughout the game. Spoilers below, watch at your own risk. These are just the parts from meeting the Catalyst onward. If you'd like to know the newly inserted scenes scroll down and I'll list them. The ones listed below happen BEFORE any of the events on the Citadel and are therefore just "additional scenes" and not the endings. Those will be below.
NEW SCENES INSERTED:
The new scenes begin from the time where Shepard and his team make a dash toward the teleportation ray to the Citadel.
NEW SCENE 1 - Harbinger appears and fires a beam like usual, however a new scene has been inserted in which Shepard saves his squadmates. He calls for an evac from Joker who arrives and Shepard leads the teammates to the Normandy. If your love interest is one of them, there is a goodbye moment. Otherwise, Shepard simply says goodbye to the team. The scene then plays like normal with Shepard getting hit by a blast from Harbinger.
NEW SCENE 2 - After Shepard goes into the teleport beam, there is a new CG cinema played in which Normandy reaches space. The camera follows it through a few battles between the Alliance and Reaper forces and then moves off to focus on the Crucible near the moon. We see that it has just arrived within range to lock onto the Citadel. Within the command ship Admiral Hackett says that someone got aboard the Citadel, and orders the Crucible to begin it's movement toward it.
NEW SCENE 3 - Inside the Citadel, Commander Shepard is launched up what appears to be an elevator at the back of the room, and comes crashing down to the floor. Nearby an Engineer is removing a battle helmet from the body of a collected Alliance soldier. The rest of the Citadel stage plays as normal from here. (The original scene began with Shepard waking up in the hall already and an Engineer simply looking over the bodies, this is an "altered scene")

If you let Balak escape in the "Bring Down the Sky" DLC in Mass Effect 1 you run into him in the Citadel refugee camp near the end of the game. Shepard keeps hearing about something called the "Leviathan of Dis" throughout the game muttered by random surviving Batarians and Balak reveals Leviathan is actually a Reaper.
He tells you that Leviathan was an inactive Reaper the Batarians found sometime before the events of ME1, they brought it to the hegemony to study and didn't tell anyone what was going on. Leviathan eventually indoctrinated the entire batarian hierarchy and used them to prepare for the Reaper arrival.
It was because of Leviathan that the Reapers were able to find a way back from dark space, and that the batarians were the first race eliminated by them after their return. It is also suggested that the Skyllian Blitz and many Batarian-Human conflicts were due to Leviathan's actions.
It is also mentioned that Leviathan might be one of the ORIGINAL Reapers, or the ones the Catalyst referred to as the ones it and it's creators FORCED to become the first Reaper's because it was necessary. It's implied that the original race that designed the Reapers were forced against their will to become them... Leviathan would be one of those who harbored resentment for this. Harbinger has also been revealed to be one of the "original" Reapers. Perhaps Leviathan went rouge because of this...
