TGS: MGS & Peace Walker HD Premium Packages announced |
|
Let's face it, the box art for Metal Gear Solid HD Collection looks tacky as fuck. It's like buying a 3-in-one DVD at a bargain bin. The European PlayStation 3 version looks especially worse. Europe is getting an "Ultimate HD Collection" which, at least based on the mock-up, looks like a Macbook Pro or giant Zippo lighter. Japan is getting this "Premium Package" and man does it have fucking awesome box art.
Seriously, I want it for the box art. The 450 page artbook? The soundtrack? Definitely nice since Metal Gear artwork and music is awesome but the box art itself looks far more classy than the shit we're getting.
Peace Walker HD, which is being sold separately in Japan, is also getting a Premium Package but unlike the above, it simply sports the North American box art for the PlayStation Portable version which I personally did not care for. The Peace Walker Premium Package also includes a soundtrack but skips the artbook in favor of a PLAY ARTS KAI Snake figure.
The Premium Packages are also getting Konami Style editions which increases the price and throws more shit in. The Metal Gear Solid HD Edition gets Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater mugs while the Peace Walker HD Edition gets a Peace Walker mug and a PLAY ARTS KAI Kaz figure as well.
As of right now, we have no idea if this or anything like this will make it's way to the west. My heart hopes so, but my wallet does not.

hmm?
http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid_3:_Subsistence
| Quote: | | Disc 1, called Subsistence, includes the full version of Metal Gear Solid 3 along with new features. The new features include an optional 3rd person camera mode (an experimental version of the camera eventually used for Metal Gear Solid 4), an improved Demo Theater mode (used for viewing in-game cutscenes) and a linkup mode for Metal Gear Acid 2 that uses the PSP's Solid Eye peripheral to view pictures taken in Metal Gear Solid 3. |
But MG/MG2 were indeed on the second disk. I fear, though, that they would be handled through a separate interface and akin to sega classics releases.
So I fear that means no Duel Mode, no Secret theater and no Existence. I do fucking hope it's doesn't.

Secret Theater was a part of Demo Theater, which I guess was a part of Disc 1. Existence, seriously, sucked and Hideo Kojima said he hated it as well. Duel Mode was not mentioned and I don't see why they would take that out. Good point there. | Victor Katilis wrote: | | But MG/MG2 were indeed on the second disk. Really? Description says that Secret theater and Duel Mode are on Disk 2.
And theater mode doesn't look like there's extra shit in there compared to original.
I dunno, I liked Existence. It seemed a nice unobtrusive extra.

Well, I was making the point that they are probably tackling disk 2 this way.

I don't see why it wouldn't be the same as it was in Substance.

Nope, I was addressing your post where you said that MGS3 secret theater was inside the demo theater, which isn't the case.
So what further stems from it is that if it would have been put together in HD collection, it would look expanded compared to the original.

Fuck this shit, Kojima and Konami shit company is doing it again. Excluding the west on the best content they manufacture, just like this fucking premium package. Listen to me, this edition WILL NOT BE RELEASED HERE ON AMERICA (neither Europe), i fucking hate Konami and Kojima because they like to show some love to their fucking shit country, but what about america, you sons of bitches?
They did this back with the premium packages of MGS1, 2 and three, then AGAIN with the fucking twenienth anniversary of the series, when they brought that piece of shit collection that didn't fucking include the second disk of subsistence, and now they're doing it again with this premium package of MGS HD collection, with a kick ass fucking epic boxart, a fucking artbook and the soundtrack, and the same with peace walker, fuck KONAMI, JAPAN, KOJIMA AND THEIR PIECE OF SHIT GAMES.
Still, i'll buy it if they bring it on here to the west.
