Subject description: I'm doing it.

Alright guys. I need to talk about this because I'm nervous as fuck and can't hold it in anymore. I'll be going on stage in some shitty local bar here in 6 days. I've prepared a 50 minute show and I think it's good enough. Wish me luck, okay?

Anyone here with any experience? Just thought it'd be worth asking.

And something I want to know: How popular are comedy bars where you guys live? In Istanbul there are only like four places and only two of them allow strong language.

There are probably some comedy bars deep in the heart of Detroit. I wouldn't know for certain though, as one does not simply walk into Detroit.

But I can't read subtitles. Half of the humor comes from the tone of voice anyway.

Have you tried getting in contact with Orwellian (?)? If I remember he's got some experience with amature stand up. Actually I believe he made a thread about it a long time ago. Maybe he could give you some pointers.

And you rerecord your show and post it here damn it! I'd love to watch it. You're a funny dude.
