The Hitman: Codename 47 thread

I played the first few levels of Hitman 2 and have had an unbearable urge to go back and finish it.
Like, every time I watch a video of it at school I'm thinking "this looks fucking amazing."
I really loved the look of the levels in Russia.

I read a few bits of a preview that assures people that the key elements of old school Hitman will be in 5, but I'm still not convinced.

Edit: I hate how you can't use the mouse to turn left and right in the first game.

Edit 3: oooooh so you can change the "camera mode" or whatever.
Hope there's a way to fix the draw-distance/textures.

Hitman: Silent Assassin was pretty great. My first introduction to the wonderful Jesper Kyd. The experience was marred by bugs though, particularly some of the disguises.

Hitman: Codename 47 is more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

Still... it would be nice to have at least a few saves. Replaying the same parts over and over again because of trial and error (the fucking safe and the two guards around it in the Lee Hong mission. I'm STILL stuck on that shit) is a bit tedious.

Sure, you can "continue", but your game is messed up because everyone is alerted to your presence, so it's only useful if you're loaded with guns and ammo, which is not how the game was meant to be played. So I just end up restarting the whole mission and try to get it done perfectly.

Also, why isn't Contracts on Steam and part of the Hitman Collection? I heard the game has a really sick sense of humor. I LOVE that.

I was annoyed back at the time that Contracts wasn't released for Gamecube. Never got around to playing it since then on the multitude of formats I have collected.

According to Steam, I have played Codename 47 for 6 hours.

I'm still on the Lee Hong Assassination.

I had all the stuff done, but now I had to get into Lee Hong's HQ and get on a boat. It's filled with guards who will tear me a new asshole if I step foot in there. What the fuck?

Edit: Know what? Steam can go to hell. I bought the Hitman Collection for full price a few weeks ago and now it's 75% off.
The same thing happened with Max Payne and Borderlands.

I am never going to buy another thing from Steam ever again unless it's for a sale. Or if it's Half-Life 3.

Speaking of sales, Portal 2 is $10! I'm so getting that.
