So with all this said, I wonder how the fourth Matrix movie will be? I mean the fact they talkin with Cameron about using similar cameras to film it in 3D is nuts.

1. Machines don't think, much less "think mechanically'
2. Although computer programs use logic, that logic is not necessarily any good
With that said, you're right, because the internal logic of the movie dictates that these machines DO think, and they they DO use good logic. So seeing them use shit logic that even the stupidest humans would see flaws in, is terrible.
I say the #1 problem of the series is that the two sequels were made after 9/11, which means they weren't allowed to preach anti-establishment and shoot cops in the face for fun
edit: oh and fly helicpters into buildings and make it so awesome

Well Morpheus says something like "A sentinel for every man, woman, and child in Zion. That sounds exactly like the thinking of a machine to me". No Morpheus, it really doesnt. Of course this is just his opinion not a fact on how the machines are planning to attack. As for the post 9/11 thing, well they do explode a power station and kill the security that hasnt managed to run a mile or two away. But it does feel like the "fuck the system" sentiments are weakened now Smith is just a crazy virus, and the other antagonists are silly ghosts and whatever else.
