Aiight, so I beat the game. Compared to the rest of the cookie-cutter shit games out there, this one was downright-fucking-incredible. However, the original game was still better overall.

The Augs in this one sucked, too few RPG elements, and maybe it's just the effect that The Elder Scrolls has had on me, but I really wished the environment was more interactive. Like, it was about as interactive as the original game, and there was still more you could do than in many games, but I wish I could have just picked up any random object instead of just specific boxes. Like in the labs at the start of the game...wouldn't it have been cool to be able to pick up glass beakers and throw them to create a distraction?

I also wish that I could have at least customized my shitty facial hair, and the non-white gamers are now more oppressed than they were in the original. But yeah, still an awesome game. I especially liked the...radio-things that played music from the original games and all the little references. Great fucking game, and just another testament to the awesome high-quality games that come out of Canada.

Yeah, the music included from the first game made me giddy. I remember I liked visiting the protag's apartment. The ambience was great and the broken mirror struck me as nicely subtle. Honestly can't remember much else besides liking the number of choices in the first mission.

I actually quit playing when I was tailing the augmented terrorists in this underground elevator in Detroit. When the doors opened, revealing this carpark-like area filled with enemies, I realized I didn't care at all. But I was messed. I'll try another time.

Okay, so when are we all going to buy/pirate Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition and have some matches online?

I agree with you, man. The aug system should've had deeper skill trees and the enviroment need more physics enabled objects. I just wish they'd ditch this Tomb Raider engine they're using and move on to some more robust and customizable on such as the Cryengine 3, the Unreal 3, amongst others.

I already wrote extensively about this, but the gist of it is that I completely agree; the skills should've been designed so that you can't have everything and you need to choose. And the environment should've been fully interactive. I mean, I shoot at a glass window with a shotgun and it doesn't even budge? Give me a break.

Blame the secret glass and textiles consortium.

I TOLD you guys it was only a matter of time.

It's a time of great innovation, and technological advancement.

Although it does worry me that it's Google of all powers who's getting this started, I think all the predictions from the future technology experts are incredibly true; they've all been saying we'd be starting to use Augmented Reality in daily life in the next 5 years, and here it is. The fact that it's Google means it'll probably be popular as hell too.

Did you ask for this?

I saw that yesterday and thought about this thread. I think it is really cool, but having those LEDs so close to your eyes probably isnt so good for them, I mean they even say that it should be used for only several hours.

Anyway, it seems Deus Ex might have some cyber-punk competition in the Syndicate series.

I'd buy it if it wasn't only six hours long. I like the HUD of the game, but it doesn't have that Deus Ex appeal of decision making.
