I love the subtlety of their "report", adding their own spin on every figure. The first part of the paragraph is designed to make the figure seem outrageous, unnatural, and wrong. Deciding what is "shocking" or who is "sensible", and trying to create their own reasons for why the majority of people think it's best for a man to work and a wife to stay at home. lol
I don't think it's shocking at all, and shit like this:
