Problem with new layout:

Cuts off extra big avatars, IE Leharts. Not that it matters, cause extra large avatars are annoying

Another solution would be to enforce the avatar size guidelines. Just a thought.

Huh. Not what I expected, but I like it.

However, I'm not sure it bodes well with the current background... Something darker, mabye a bit more "solid", would fit this a lot better. Just my two cents. Otherwise, it's a welcome change.

If it was possible to make it automatically reject an avatar that's fucking huge, I would. However, it is not. The only way for the forums to do this is if I force people to upload avatars onto the server. This would also force everyone's avatars to be of a certain size.

Enforcing it by a rule creates problems as issuing, documenting, and prosecuting warnings is far easier via PM. This is a much better solution. Everyone's avatar shows. If it's bigger than a certain width (250px) then it just cuts it at that point.
