PS3: Backwards Compatability Checker |

For those of you in North America curious to see if your older games will work on the soon-to-be-default 80GB PlayStation 3 unit, Sony has forced their Javascript slave to make something that allows one to figure out if their games work for fail. Also, if you own a 20GB unit, you don't exist, so get the fuck out.
For the record, it seems like Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions work perfectly. Oh, wow, seems like Sony released an upgrade that forces the PlayStation 3 to get over it's gaydar for MGS2, and thus, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. The Document of MGS2 still doesn't work, but only three people own that anyways.
However, in the true spirit of TIME PARADOX, several versions of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence do not work anymore--even though they used to work without the Emotion Engine.
Well, to be technical, they do work. Unless you consider "working" as "the games run fine" because they don't:
During various FMA sequences throughout the title, the FMA does not play as "smooth" as normal.
Throughout gameplay, the title performs at a significantly slower than normal performance speed.
At various points throughout gameplay, the title performs at a significantly slower than normal performance speed.
After consulting some experts, I've generated some demonstrations:

LEFT: 80GB PlayStation 3, RIGHT: 60GB PlayStation 3
Check the source link to see if your old games will work. If the game's not even listed, it won't fucking work at all. Sorry Dante.
