Just letting you know that the only non-ps2 compatible ps3 is the 40gb version. The 80gb uses emulation that the ps3 can handle easily. So your whining is for nothing. Personally I'm happy with my originally 20gb version upgraded to 250gb 2.5"(newly out) with 400gb external and AVCHD sony cam that plays direct from ps3. Store the m2ts files to the external and no need to mess with disks. Also play mp4 high def files directly from hd. As long as single file doesn't exceed 4gb thanks to the idiotic decision to go with fat32 file system. Anyway, your wrong.

Wait, there's a 40GB version? Why did i not hear of this. I thought it was 20, 60, 80. But it would make sense, 20 40 60 80.

Just letting you know that this was an old news story that was made when a lot of Metal Gear titles did not work with the software emulation that the 80GB uses.

AnywayS, you'RE wrong.

I'll be getting the 40GB version as it's the cheapest of the lot. I don't give a fuck for backwards compatability because I have a little console called the PS2 in full working order which plays PS1 and PS2 games fine.

That's because the emo ones are out of production.

Either way, old news is old. With there being no emotional PS3s in the market, this topic is obsolete.
