Tonight at an event for Zone of the Enders, game designer Hideo Kojima and his studios Kojima Productions announced that they were working on a new Z.O.E. project that currently has the working title of "Enders Project".
edit: I've seen some speculation that this is another radio drama but I doubt that because of the 3D model and everything. It could be another anime series though, since they call it a "project" instead of a game, and a lot of animes use 3D models instead of cell art for the mechas.

actually the production code for mpw was: project peace walker, just like that, or stuff like project sora (kid icarus 3ds), in japan love to call "project X" to all their projects.
Im shoked to know kojima pro is making a non MG game. they made small games for 3ds/GBA but still all their big stuff was for metal gear gaems on current gen hardwere.

more than anime I will like a more "animatrix" approach... imagine kojima's dream of being a film director might partially come true, making movies with fox engine, similar to the movie production tools from crytek.
yeah i'd like to see something substantial on the fox engine but i dont think kojima has the heart to make a short or tv show that's actually compelling enough for repeat viewings

An actual game for ZOE would be nice. Dont skimp on multiplayer or at least make the single player highly customizeable and it could be good. I'm tempted to find a copy of ZOE2 and relish in it all over again. That game was so good.
Ancient aliens ZOE sounds cool. I just hope this doesn't turn into another Rising situation. It's actually eerily similar. Announced very early in development (the game doesn't even exist yet), and someone from outside of Kojima Productions is in charge of the project (A guy named Ryosuke Toriyama, who seems to be a creator of a line of little girl robutt action figures made by Konami called Busou Shinki. I don't know if he's actually worked on games or not.)

They could still be mechs, but Enders Project takes place in an ancient civilization and has more of a fantasy art style, instead of the futuristic sci-fi setting of ZOE1 and 2.

This kind of leads me to believe that they're going to go the direction of saying that Orbital Frames are actually an ancient race race -- and "ancient civilization" could be the first time that aliens have been depicted in the series.
