I'm not really into the Beastie Boys, but I do like some of their stuff. It sucks to lose anyone to cancer, especially at such an age. RIP.

I actually think they were a good trio/quartet. Combining some of the weirdest, yet excellent, mixs is what they did best. Also, they did some of the best musics I've ever heard, something really unexpected, like "Song For Junior", in the Hello Nasty album.

Yeah, he's been battling cancer since 2009. I remember seeing the video he and Ad-Rock saying he was going through a tough process and joking around, even with a serious problem. I always liked their attitude with disease, since it affected the group, not just MCA.

I hope they find a cure during our time for cancer. I have little hope though...once you see someone you love die with cancer, you will never be the same again.

Too bad he wasn't able to attend the happiness when they were inducted into the hall of fame. R.I.P Adam.

Accoding to sources, his cancer was very treatable. I wonder if his death was the result of SABOTAGE?

Pfft. Like a cure for cancer is something Big Pharma really wants. Like it or not, the disease is a money maker and as long as it continues to make money, there will NEVER be a cure (officially anyway). Call me a wacko conspiracy theorist, I don't care.

But yeah. Having seen my dad suffer and die the way he did with it, I haven't been the same since.

Unfortunately upon some thought, a cure for cancer would probably be pretty horrifying.

Cancer isn't a disease per se but the corruption of dna causing mutated cells. You can't make a vaccine for that. Think on it.

I won't call you a wacko, but I will point out the broken window fallacy.

He's referring to the profitability of lifetime treatment over one time cure.

What I'd imagine would be necessary would be to create a virus that could attack the cancerous cells and alter their genetic structure back into healthy cells and get them to replicate like normal. I dunno, I'm not biologist, but that's an idea from what I understand. Or, you know, nanomachines.

Or maybe just stem-cells.

Or maybe just robot bodies.

Or maybe send consciousnesses into space.

I want MCA to be a space mind-being.
