Company Potatoes
1 32 oz. pkg frozen hash browns
1 pt. sour cream
1 Cup grated sharp cheese
1/2 Cup finely chpped onions
1 Can of Cream of Chicken Soup
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Stick of melted butter
1/2 Cup of crushed potato chips
First mix your chicken soup with the potatoes in a large bowl. My purple bowl for Halloween Candy is my favorite for doing this. Since the potatoes are frozen, UGH, this is hard to do, but use your muscles. I had to!
Looks good eh?
Now..add your onion. I used my Slap Chopper to especially annoy Mercury. Sorry love, I know you would have prefered that thing Billy Mays yelled about... ;;>.>
Add your Sour Cream
I know, the stirring doesn't get any easier..in fact it gets a bit harder as you add more ingredients!
Add your cheese. I like alot, so I added a handful more than what it calls for.
Melt the butter...but keep it for when you to put it in the oven, you will need to drizzle it on top! I love butter.
Get a bowl and put a few big handfulls of potato chips in there and then crush them to pieces. I use a potato masher..but strong hands are good for this too...lol. I just hate using my hands for crushing things unless its someones balls. =)
Just kidding.. balls are for kicking, and hard.
Get them to look like this..
Spray a baking dish with Pam
Add and spread mixture evenly and add your crushed potato chips..Drizzle that melted butter over the top of the chips! Mmmmmm....
And bake in a 350 degree oven.
And...enjoy!
Really this is a most loved dish and it won't disappoint. I promise.
This? These are dishes...we don't have a dishwasher because we're poor..but I will get someone else to do them because I'm spoiled.
Next up is Pineapple Souffle'
A heart attack waiting to happen...
10 slices of bread, no crust, broken to pieces. 2 cups of sugar, yes 2...but I used 1 and some. 8 eggs...yes, 8 ...and 2 sticks...yep, 2 sticks of melted butter...and a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple, drained...but reserve the juice.
Ok, so you just place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix on low speed for 2 mins. If it looks like it can use more juicy..add some reserved pineapple juice...eye it, ya know? You can't mess this up..
Place in a Pyrex bowl sprayed with Pam...
Bake for 1hr. at 350 and when cool, sprinkle with cinnamon. (if you dont like cinnamon dont use it!)
You can serve this warm or just room temp. Usually when I bring it, its at room temperature and its fine because I made it! =)
This is only 2 dishes of the 3 I am making today for Easter dinner...there are other sides too that my aunt will make, and cakes and etc.
If you celebrate Easter or Passover...my aunt does both...enjoy your day with your family/and friends.
Discoman, I want that recipie for stuffing! and I hope you enjoy your manicotti! and ham and family too.

Most potatoes recipes usually require 1 stick or more actually.
The mashed potatoes I usually tend to make contains Half & Half.
@Jules: I believe the term I'm looking for is c'est magnifique!

Oh man, that looks badass as fuck! I've gotta give that a shot sometime. The crushed potato chips is a good, imaginative idea. I bet it adds a real nice crunch. I always love that. Fantastic!

You want the recipe? Good luck with that, cause you ain't getting it out of me.
Also, crushed potato chips + one entire stick of butter? Yuck. |
Im only kidding. I know that recipie won't come close to my G'moms!
Yes, and it's a great dish...you would love it. And you can't really taste the butter..and really I bet I could do without it, but I think it just bakes up the topping to OMG.
Guess I can't marry you now...
Vit D and Connor,,,really..try these dishes, I promise you will LOVE them!
lol...Rei. I remember that...and Paula is slimming down now! I wonder how her cooking habits will change now? Sure my dishes are not so healthy..but they are most for COMPANY or holiday things. Although, I guess if you have lots of company you can always make broccoli and cheese caserole..but thats just as bad!
Good thing I didn't post my homemade cheese cake.

I never laugh at people's attempts unless they're being competitive. You aren't being competitive, are you?
Here's an old picture I tweeted of my nachos, sans chopped tomatoes, onions, and cilantro.
