I got to play the Vita for a little bit today at GameStop. Uncharted: Golden Abyss, to be exact.
It looks like a fucking Playstation 3 game.

I then bought Splinter Cell for my 3DS, because I'm certain that it's still better than Metal Gear Solid 3DS.

FF XIII-2 is not a shitty game at all. In fact the only bad reviews I read about it were written by people starting their review with "I actually didn't play it, but only the demo, but I have to say ..."
The demo was really a bit crappy, but what do you expect from a demo that cut out any story (and it did actually cut sequences, that occured at the same spot lateron in the full version) of a game where story is the most important part.

You can argue with the gameplay and still say the combat system is still weak. But in terms of varying gameplay, traceability of characters and their actions or storytelling and everything else it's far better than FF XIII.
If you like Final Fantasy, Japanese games or anything like that, you should definitely give it a try. In my opinion it's the best Final Fantasy since FFX. There are some things where I like FF XIII-2 even more than FFX.

@Music: The music is overwhelming at all times. Those who don't like that and want game music to be more discreet might have a problim with that, but the music varies between harmonious Japanese pop music to Rockmusic (Like the example above) I really like that soundtrack and it fits Final Fantasy very well.

It is hard to believe, that the very same studio with the very same world brought such a weak and boring title like FF XIII and then only two years later brought a good game like FF XIII-2. I think "FFXIII" in it's name will abate the success of FF XIII-2, but FFXIII-2 is still a very good game everyone should still try even if you didn't play XIII or didn't like it.

Yes, I haven't played XIII-2, I was making a joke.

I wouldn't be surprised if when I do, I still think it's shitty though.
