So it's been 25 years since Hideo Kojima came and changed the landscape of gaming. It wasn't all about "shoot and kill everything" like most games do. It required stealth and thinking. So Kojima decided to just take ideas from different movies like Terminator and made Metal Gear back in 1987. Kojima has spent half his life working on Metal Gear as he is turning 50 next year.

So in the first of many things to come (because Kojima loves us to spend more money on Metal Gear games again) we have a set of shirts that are coming to commomorate the 25th Anniversary of Metal Gear. Taking a cue from the Peace Walker shirts, Uniqlo has made numerous t-shirts spanning the entire Metal Gear Saga (sans Portable Ops), including Rising.

Kojima announced on his Twitter about the plans to release the shirts.

This is good, isn't it? I mean what else can they do to celebrate? Work on a new game? Pay $300 for either a PS3 or Rex? Either way, Kojima made a name for himself with Metal Gear and I wouldn't mind purchasing a shirt to celebrate.

Besides, it's not like someone else is celebrating their 25th Anniversary.

My mistake. I got lost in the whole "it's THIS year for the 25th anniversary." Yes, it's next year he'll be 50.

Here's hoping the series will end for good before the 30th anniversary!

Should there be a T-shirt with the text "Uh oh! The truck have started to move!" I'd buy it without thinking it twice.

Good shit man.
I was just reminiscing about the 20th anniversary, where they did shit. You'd expect them to do a bit better than some t-shirts we'd never wear out. Their last batch of uniqlo t-shirts were much better, subtle is good. This shit is just walking advertisement.
Square are touring Distant Worlds orchestra concert for Final Fantasy's 25th, and they're releasing Theatrhythm.

They didn't just bring out T-shirts though. There's the HD collection, The Play Arts figures, 3A's REX, The Hot Toys figures, these T-shirts not to mention the two games in the works and thats only so far.
What else were you guys expecting? I think the celebrations so far is awesome, Im getting a whole bunch of stuff i've long been waiting for.

This T-shirt is art of Metal Gear 2 Snake. I wonder what other stuff they'll make for the originals
