I keep seeing it but I haven't picked it up. How strongly would you recommend it?

If you're as interested in that sort of thing as I am, I'd recommend it highly. It's quite funny in some parts.

Damn. You told me about this series an eternity ago and I'd forgotten about them. I should get that one.

I would recommend the excellent comic version that came out a year or two ago, but then I remembered that you're blind...

The book The Shoemaker is in my house, but I've not ever read it. I don't know if I ever will, but the murderer lived not far from my parents when they were teens. They say its a really good book and you won't be able to put it down.

Page 13 or Chapter 13 of this read about the murderer is really something else I thought. So, going by who read it, and if you like true stories such as these, it was highly recommended.

If you like Aldous Huxley, read The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell.

And how interested is that? Is there something you want to share?
Questions of necrophilia aside, I always see it on $4.95 sales so I'll get it when another comes my way.

My imagination is the only comic I need.

Or at least it better be. Amirite?

As soon as I read that I thought of The Clockmaker. Damn you Alastair Reynolds.

Right now I am reading a book called We Need to Talk About Kevin. It's about a mother going through severe depression in the aftermath of her sociopath son shooting up his school. Or, rather (in an interesting twist) bow-and-arrowing up his school. It has been made in to a movie that I have yet to see but is being very well received. The book is really good, but kind of intense. It's very effective at making you feel as shitty and awful as the mother does. It's very bleak. Makes me want to never ever have kids.

She should be proud, not depressed. Do you know how hard it is to use a bow? It's hard. I can only wish my potential child will be a fraction that badass when their a teenager.

I read that, and I thought it was really good. Didn't have much sympathy for the mother myself.

No necrophilia, I just always have been sort of fascinated with death. A lot of people try to avoid even talking or thinking about it, but it's always been an interesting topic to me.
