Well then, my spider-sense was right. I didn't buy it yet, because of this, there's not much titles that I could enjoy. Also, VITA is the same price as a PS3. A. FUCKING. PS3. That's bullshit.

I bought one, and a 32gig memory card, and if I had to sum up my feeling about it, it would be that although there's nothing "must have" about it, it instills confidence in me that it will end up being worth it. I bought Virtua Tennis on it, its actually quite stunning how nice the graphics are combined with the display. I also watched Inglorious Basterds on Netflix, but that's not too special I guess.
The joysticks are tiny, and so are the buttons, but this is actually good. There's 0% chance of your fingers slipping or losing control.
The touch screen is great, the OS is really respectable, and those nitpicks Jim Sterling listed really dont feel like problems to me. For example hitting an icon brings up a "start page" instead of opening the thing immediately. But the "start page" of these apps always have a second feature, incase you just want to do something related to the app, not actually bother to start it up fully.
The Content Manager, and the ability to back up your downloaded games and applications to your PC, makes the Memory Card controversy much less severe too. I already backed up my shit to my PC, it worked really easily.
In the end, all we need is one "must have" new franchise for this, to give it a sense of identity, like a Pokemon. Call of Duty is coming to it, but I'm hoping for something more unique. Something to bring it above the level of a smart phone or anything else.
Is it worth the money? Yes. Will you get the money's worth now? Not unless you love the shit out of the games that are out now. Don't expect a price drop or a new model any time soon, because honestly I wouldn't even want a thinner version, and this doesnt feel like it can be improved except through firmware.

Well, it depends...is it economically affordable? If not, forget it. Also, how about the apps and whatnot?

I didnt know how to find it at first, but I have Netflix, Google Maps, Twitter, and I could have Flickr if I wanted to. Google Maps for some reason "cant find my location" which sucks, but maybe they'll fix that eventually. Foursquare is available too. The PS Store is really nicely set up, easy to find apps, games, demos, everything. I love the store's design. I fully think they'll add more apps and take use of the potential
