Snake Eater 3DS bundle & accessory pack revealed for Japan |
|
So there's a lot going on in Japan with regards to Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. For starters, there's already a demo available in the e-shop. Unfortunately, even though it's fucking 2011, Nintendo has limited the amount of times one can play the demo. After thirty times you are fucked until March 8, 2012. Way to be regressive, Nintendo.
Kojima Productions however has released some information. Most of you probably are sad enough to be willing to buy an entirely new platform just for a pseudo remake of a game that was released years ago and already re-released] about a month ago in HD. That's cool, because a Nintendo 3DS bundle will be happening, at least in Japan. Will the 3DS be green or in a cliche camouflage theme? No idea as of right now. In case its not though, you can make your 3DS green with—you guessed it—camouflage inside with the Hori Accessory Kit that will also be released.
The pouch itself seems to be cool, and while the stylus doesn't seem to be anything special, I suppose it's not bad to have a spare stylus hanging around, right? Anyways, to those of us in the west, uh.... "fuck you:" No demo, highly restrictive or not, and no announcements about accessories or bundles.

M'eh, not too impressed by that demo. Maybe I'll like it better when I see it in 3-D. Right now Teenage Kojima is more interesting... For me this is still something to get when the price is dropped.

Honestly, the game looks good on a 3DS, but... am I the only one that felt that those new additions (crouch walking, over the shoulder aiming) weren't needed in MGS3? They all feel and look so strange in MGS3...

I can see why it is needed though...is the 3DS's nub pressure sensitive? Even if it is, it would be much harder to do the stalking walk on a handheld, you would probably break into a sprint just as you were about to slit some fucker's throat. So having a dedicated mode of walking slow makes sense. They have done it since OPS.
