I agree. While this game is far from Metal Gear, it's probably going to be fantastic. I trust Platinum to make great shit, and this is no exception. The cheesy, 80's B movie theme of the trailer makes the game seem a fun, stylish romp. I am truthfully excited for this.

One thing that looks amazing about Rising is that it looks like an early form of the missing link between Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders.

It is almost like you can trace the Hideo-verse all the way from 1964 to Zone of the Enders in real time.

Hear me out.... what if Cyborg Raiden is not actually the real Raiden?

As we know, Raiden was captured by the Patriots sometime between MGS2 and MGS4, during this period, he was used as a testbed for several advancements in cybernetics. He was altered to such an extent that his upper jaw region of the head was the only biological part of him, everything else is artificial.

Now, we also know that the Patriots AIs, as were created by Emma Emerich, had their cognitive functions modeled after the human brain.

What if Raiden's brain was artificially mapped by the Patriots, and this Raiden we're seeing was one of their attempts at recreating one of the most efficient killers employed by them?

EDIT1:

I've come across a lot of people claiming that Raiden's got himself a normal human body right after MGS4, courtesy of Dr. Madnar. I don't think that's the case, if anyone looks closely during the cutscene at the hospital, you can notice the tissue scarring where his artificial skin was assembled over his body.
