Okay, so you know the drill; discuss all things Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, and Portal related.

First order of business;

Thank fucking god. I'm most likely getting the 360 version so I could play co-op with my friends. Glad I won't be missing out on much.

Dead babies. Always classy, isn't it?

I'm looking forward to Portal 2, and I'm glad it's on PS3. It's much for suitable for me. Though since their level creator is exclusive to PC, I'll try it out as well.

Of course! That's why that one chick who left her baby in her car on a hot day was on Oprah.

I never got into Half Life, I don't see why so many people like it.

I loved Portal.

I hate Steam.

If I were to play and enjoy any FPS, it would be from Valve and Valve only (exception is Goldeneye for N64). They have a different way of doing things, which is tits.

I did the Counterstrike thing for a while, and I love portal. Never could get into half life.

What's wrong with steam? I like that I can download any game I want anytime. Been meaning to get TES3 and Monkey Island

I'm a big Valve fan, ever since the first Half-Life. I at least enjoy everything they put out, and love the shit out of most of it. Particularly Portal. If I had to pick one game that I would say is my favorite, I think Portal would be it.

Counter-Strike stole 2 summers of my life, Half-Life is one of the best sci-fi shooters out there, Team Fortress is fun as shit but I haven't played it much, Portal is fucking brilliance and I haven't played much Left 4 Dead but it's enjoyable when I do. Oh, and Steam is a badass service.

I wish I were getting Portal 2 on PS3. It's starting to sound like that's the definitive edition. Plus, I want a free copy of the PC version please!

I was never interested in Counter-Strike. I love Half-Life and Half-Life 2. A lot of people either like or don't like the series. I remember a lot of people telling me they didn't like the original because it "wasn't exciting enough." Alright.

Portal was a lot of fun, too.

Not exciting? Bahahahaha!!!! Okay, and running around in Mjolnir armor knowing you are invincible is oh so exciting? Please. I like some mortality in my games.

After playing each Halo game on Heroic, and countless multiplayer matches, I would like you to kindly shut the fuck up.

Half-Life 1 had a slower pace than Half-Life 2, but it worked perfectly.

It's a really good thing they didn't speed up to get to the action because we wouldn't have gotten all that great exposition in the beginning.

- Half-Life 1 - literally kicks ass! Probably one of the best older FPS games that still can be played and enjoyed (like first Deus Ex)
- Half-Life 2 - excellent sequel, stunning graphics (when it came out)
- Half-Life 2: Episode One - ... played it very little, but it was a buggy version, so I ditched it. My friend said that Ep1 and 2's story kicks ass too.
- HL Deathmatch - nice MP mod of HL ... I bet HL2 Deathmatch is even cooler, gotta try it out.
- Counter-Strike - took a lot of my time during high-school, now I play it every 6 months for few weeks. Mostly CS:Source.
- Team Fortress - TF1 was a fun game, we played it a little back in CS days. TF2 looks even better, but didn't played it yet.
- Portal - never played it, just saw it. Looks awesome.
- Left 4 Dead - I don't like Zombie games anymore, so I never touched this one.
- Day of Defeat - was a nice WWII Multiplayer, similar to MOHAA... Haven't tried DoD Source, but I probably will.

Huge fan of the original Half-Life; it was more or less the first PC game I ever owned. Finished it some 15 times after I got it. HL2 is a great shooter, I still don't think it's as good as the original, though.

TFC used to be my favorite multiplayer game back in the day. I was on dial-up and perfecting the art of sniping at 400 ping gives you a hell of a sense of accomplishment after you can finally see your name in the top five of the scoreboard at the end of every round. I did a lot of Counter Strike back then as well.

CSS I still occasionally play, still I don't think the game has been as good since Valve bought it (i.e. past 1.5). Still plenty of fun, though. Portal was an unexpected delight. The gameplay still gives me headaches, but we all know it's the humour that makes it stand out.

I have L4D2, bought on impulse during the Christmas deals. Never played it. Don't know if I ever will. Even if I did like zombies, it still bothers me that they went out of their way to sell an expansion pack as a stand-alone-game, when "Half-Life 2 Episode 3" (let alone HL3) are nowhere in sight.

Overall, I've had my issues with the company since Steam (it's been ironed out now, but it was a hell of a pain in the ass when it first launched), but at the very least, they've only released quality stuff so far.

Speaking of Steam; great platform for managing games. Great holiday deals. Fucked up pricing every other time. Games always cost more than their retail forms (even OLD games) and what's up with your idea of exchange rates, Steam? 1 USD = 1 Euro? Since when?

Half-Life is great, as is it's sequel along with Portal. Used to play the likes of Counter Strike and Day of Defeat which were fun (the later Source versions). If only Valve didn't suck so much at getting their games released.
