Kojima working on MGS5 or something new, and Peace Walker 2

Some of you might have some hope in Hideo Kojima working on something other than Metal Gear. He is hardly involved with Rising and has recently stated that he might have little involvement with Snake Eater 3D. He has been hinting at some other project for home consoles, talking about how he might have to leave the gaming industry if it fails. After E3 though, he's been a bit conflicted regarding what to do with the title:

"I only have two choices for what to make: MGS5, or an original game."



But wait, isn't Peace Walker supposed to be... oh fuck it. Still, what might make Kojima leave the entire industry if things don't go well? Something fucking great that the mainstream audience will spit venom at? No, just the usual business risks.

"...it’ll definitely be a console game, and it’ll be the sort of big-budget project where I’m dead if we screw it up."

Dead? Sounds like death threats. Even if it is an original title, seemingly sparring everyone from yet another unnecessary installment to the bloated Metal Gear canon, it's not over yet:

Kojima: "The next thing after Peace Walker is something great. It's a revolution."
Famitsu: "A revolution!? Is this in terms of gameplay?"
Kojima: "In terms of gameplay. We'll be doing things that we couldn't do in Peace Walker."
Famitsu: "What can you do?"
Kojima: "You know, don't you?" (laughs)
Famitsu: "No no -- I don't know. What is the time period of the game?"
Kojima: (explosive laughter)

That's right. A fucking sequel to the just-released Peace Walker is already planned. Here's hoping it's called Ironic Contra and takes place in the 1980's. Fuck.

Peace Walker 2 - Huey tries to build mechanical legs for himself to chase after Strangelove, but they are possessed with by the recreated AI sprit of the Boss that only surfaces when Big Boss is in close proximity. The ending boss fight is near the pool where Emma is swimming. Big Boss sets the Boss's spirit free by drowning Huey in the pool while Hal is having sex with Strangelove. OOOOH SPOILER! LMAO!

This is upsetting. If Peace Walker 2 is indeed in the pipeline, the possible new and original project may get less attention. I am sad.

I certainly hope the next console game is not a Metal Gear Solid sequel. Perhaps Mr. Kojima should consider leaving Konami and turn Kojima Productions into an independent outfit.

Konami owns Kojima Productions. Regardless, with the fact that there are already two new Metal Gear titles announced and now a hint at yet another, it's really up to Kojima to decide if this new project should turn into a new Metal Gear or not. Konami seems to be fine with a new Metal Gear title every year.

I knew they owned the name, but they can't stop the entire staff from leaving with Kojima and forming a new company. It always seems in interviews that he's being pushed into things, but then he goes back and talks about "revolution" and "things we couldn't do in Peace Walker." I honestly can't tell what he wants. I don't think he can either.

He just wants money. Which is fine, he should just admit it instead of implying that all of these new Metal Gear titles are actually necessary. Or leave the rest alone and reboot it and work from there. In a way, the producer for Rising is at least being honest by admitting that they're just making a Raiden game just because they can and that it's plot is insignificant.

Maybe he is reconning the orignal Metal gear 1 & 2 which instead took place in 1980s...o well im done with the series anyways after peace walker

If for no other reason, Metal Gear Solid V might likely become the "Meme" established in MGS3, Portable OPS, Peace Walker, and MGS4. Thats right MGSV might just be a full on redux of the OUTER HEAVEN Uprising... I mean what else could it be?

Beyond Metal Gear I would like Kojima to do a project not Snake related - really
haven't you played with cardboard box's enough.
