Does it not? Don't get me wrong. There is nothing I hate more than ignorant, collectivistic accusations about things people don't fully understand, but the game industry is still primitive in more ways than one.

The video games industry creates products of fiction and thus does not need to portray complete reality. Feminists bitch about the various features of females in video games, but males are also portrayed in unrealistic fashions; it's very unlikely that I could survive multiple fights with giant nuclear-equipped war machines, perform incredible athletic moves like Ryu Hayabusa or have his fighting skills, or even walk around with a giant gun and easily crush tons of aliens like Duke Nukem, yet all of those are "badass" things that males often idealize. It's no different from females in video games being sexy, athletic and powerful, just as many females wish to be.

The feminist movement needs to regain the integrity it once held,

No, it needs to vanish, or at least it does in modern, developed nations. There are four types of feminists: Women who claim to be feminist purely because they are female and don't actually do anything to help any sort of cause; women who don't seem to grasp the fact that the world has changed and that nowadays, not only do women have equality in developed nations, but actually receive better treatment than men; women simply looking for a cause to bitch about; actual feminists trying to bring equality in developing nations such as in the far east where women are actually still mistreated.

but the game industry hasn't even reached a point where it can be considered an industry with companies that consistently deliver artistic and intellectual properties.

If an industry needs to have all companies taking part in it produce only the highest in quality in order to be considered an industry, then there is simply no industry on Earth. All industries have various levels of quality and varying focuses.

Anyways, the accents were mostly fine to me. I've missed them since MGS2. I don't typically listen to French, Russian, or Costa Rican accents, so I couldn't tell how accurate they were.

Once again, my point wasn't about the characters' accents at all, but rather about their pronunciations when actually speaking the language protrayed as native for them.

You don't think women are still exploited and mistreated on a daily basis in developed nations? You sound like people who say racism is dead. No, it's well and alive. Of course, massive strides have been made and people are more educated in general, but it still exists in households and businesses all over the country. If you take the time to analyze social structures and the "language" of modern institutions, you will find a tremendous amount of sexism. I've studied this. It still persists. If you don't support feminism, then at least support what it originally stood for: equality of treatment, respect, and opportunity between men and women.

Men and women are equal to me. It's the modern feminists who think that they aren't when it comes to custody, maternity leave, criminal sentencing, the draft, social benefits, taxation, etc.

I think that in these modern times in developed nations, women are just as mistreated as every other type of people; that is to say, the only way there could be any more progress would be for world peace and equality for all types of people to happen, which is unlikely at this point. The feminist movement does not need to exist in these times and places, a movement promoting equality for all people no matter their differences does.

"Wanna" is not proper English. Thank you for trying!

Well being a South American myself, I can answer that to you.

Chico and Amanda sound perfect. They make their accents very well. Paz as well. Galvez.... he needs some work. Or not, since he's Russian.

They pretty much nailed the South American accents.

Funny, because I've heard otherwise from Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans.

That's kind of hilarious. Thanks for the greeting ban. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

I'm actually surprised that Galvez didn't try and put on a South American accent. You know... because he was a double agent and all.

I think that depends. The Spanish spoken in Peace Walker was the neutral type, not using slangs from any country. Maybe Costa Ricans noticed that. I'm not sure. To me they were great.

Steve Blum is too cool to do accents.

Paz sounded more Russian to me than Hispanic. Amanda sounded okay, but Chico's voice reminded me of Haji for some reason (from Johnny Quest).

As for Galvez (Vladimir Zadornov), well, someone already said that Steve Blum was "too cool to do accents," and on that I sort of agree. As for his Russian origins, one reason he didn't use a Russian accent is because, in real-life, there are Russian people who can speak American English quite fluently, with no hint of a Russian accent. But that's just my speculation.
