RE: Revengeance is coming to the PC
I didn't dislike the game, tried the demo and kind of did good even if I don't have the reflexes required for it's gameplay. But the very thing that I don't like at all is that there's only ONE way to play it. No sideways, no alternate paths, easter eggs or strategies. You play it, you finish it, that's it. So after watching Two Best Friends full playthrough I was like "that was kind of cool and funny, but after seeing it from start to finish I don't feel like playing it myself".
I mean, my brother and I both bought MGS3 at the same time, and we kind of played alternately in each other homes. He started playing first: he was guns blazing, reflexes based and very impatient, while I played veeeery slowly, stoping from time to time to check my surroundings, planning my next move and crawling a lot. Same game, two totally different experiences.
But with Rising, it's not like I would play any different that TBF did in their Let's Play video, mostly because you CAN'T do it on a different way. So why bother. That, and not the cutting, or silly storyline (which I actually liked), is it's true problem, and it's Achilles heel.
