Naomi's Japanese voice actress has passed away
Quote:Yesterday evening, Hiromi Tsuru was discovered unconscious in a car on along the Shuto Expressway in Tokyo. [...] There were no external wounds and no sign of an accident. Police believe it’s highly likely she died of from an illness.
[...] Tsuru voiced some of anime’s most beloved characters, including Bulma in the Dragon Ball series, Dokin-chan in Anpanman, Ukyo Kuonji in Ranma ½, Reiko Mikami in Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Meryl Strife in Trigun, among many others. She also voiced video game characters, including Naomi Hunter in the Metal Gear Solid series.

Holy cow!

Was she still voicing Bulma? Considering DB Super is still airing...

Yeah, it was still her. I wonder what they're going to do about that. She's been around since the beginning of Dragon Ball, and was actually the second character introduced, so this is a major loss for Dragon Ball.

Seems they are looking for a replacement, but nothing to announce.

DBZ VAs have been replaced in the past.

Dragon Ball is no stranger to this as Roshi is on his third voice IIRC, Mr Satan on his second and Tenshinhan on his second as well. We will lose more sooner than later but hope that they give their best performances and can be possibly excused (see Akira Kamiya who doesn't return for Kenshiro though he had a role in a parody series) in later years.

Holy shit! I would never have imagined that Bulma would go before Goku. Wow, who knows, in the end Nozawa is gonna outlive them all.
