Kojima looking for only S & S++ rank members while also continuing to travel in order to develop the R & D division.

Right now the ideal load out for a team and communicating with staff was the type that Media Molecule had.

Sure 100 staff members is a pretty low number for nowdays AAA games (it's just right for AA games, though), but I wonder how will he manage to hire so many members since he's just gone indie. Is Sony already helping with their budget? And if so, is Kojima still truly indipendent, is he actually free to develop what he wants?

Oh wow, Kojima spends all his GMP to max out his R&D and develop a new item that's inferior to the starting version.

Honestly, I don't think it would be a bad thing if he was answering to Sony in some capacity. From watching all of the documentaries on the making of the Metal Gear games over the years, one thing has been consistent: he's a perfectionist and doesn't care about meeting deadlines, just in making a perfect game. The level of polish in his games definitely shows, but as an upstart company, he simply doesn't have the time or resources to continue on that way. He'd run the company into bankruptcy before their first game is complete. He needs somebody giving him strict deadlines and budgets to work with, at least until he really gets the company off the ground. Sony's the best company to do that, as they have a stellar track record of allowing their teams to do what they want, as long as they stay within budget and time constraints. This has led to many critically acclaimed games like Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, inFamous, Gran Turismo, etc.

According to Kojima, he's never gone over budget, and only experienced 2 delays in his career, and given how these things work, every developer allocates room and budget for potential delays.

Besides if anyone knows about delaying a product until perfection is achieved, Sony so far also has such a track record and is fairly lenient with their developers and has already wasted more money than Kojima spent making MGSV and FOX Engine considering word on the cancelled Destiny-like project over at Santa Monica.

If anything I'd say Kojima likely has more leniency under Sony than Konami, but given he's running his own show now with more responsibilities and his own company on the line with pressure to prove himself, this is likely what will force him to be leaner.
