Peace Walker soundtrack detailed; Major Spoiler?! [UPDATE]
March 26, 2010 07:31 am
Bored of the latest Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker trailer? So am I. When's that next trailer coming out, next week? Fuck. What the hell am I going to do now?
Oh shit, Major Spoiler! What are you doing here? The track listing for the soundtrack to Peace Walker is available online? Why do you care? It's just a soundtrack! Oh wait. WAAIIT!
A track listing of a soundtrack can contain spoilers. Star Wars fans raged when the soundtrack to The Phantom Menace was released two weeks prior to the film with track titles such as "Qui-Gon's Noble End" which suggested that Qui-Gon dies in the film and "The High Council Meeting and Qui-Gon's Funeral" which pretty much confirmed that Qui-Gon does die in the film.
Not that tit mattered since it was shit anyways. In terms of Metal Gear, the soundtrack to Guns of the Patriots listed "Father & Son" as a track near the end. Oh!
With that said, here's the tracklisting and be warned, there might be spoilers ahead. Also for those of you planning on purchasing, "Love Deterrence" is only available on the overpriced single. Also, no, "Tainted Love" is not going to be on the soundtrack. Sorry.
EDIT: Actually, it DOES have "Love Deterrence." It may or may not be the same version as the one in that video with Paz though. More details below.
01.METAL GEAR SOLID PEACE WALKER MAIN THEME
Nothing out of the ordinary here.
02.HEAVENS DIVIDE/ DONNA BURKE
As expected. I mean, isn't this the "main theme"?
03.RAIN OF BANE
The first thing that comes up when I Google "Bane" is this. I'm assuming that this character Bane from Batman makes a cameo appearance to take a piss. Maybe this is the torture Paz went through according to Gálvez.
I think we're talking about Ramón Gálvez "Hellboy" Mena here.
As opposed to "The Spear"? Is this The Fear?
Oh guess not.
tankXcore is probably just that tank in the demo.
Either this is talking about Chico, who is Amanda's little brother, or Little Grey's brother makes an appearance in this game. Given Kojima's track record, (I mean seriously, Huey is totally a relative of Otacon) I'd say both are quite plausible.
lol how how high can u get bro?
Hot Coldman's theme? Guess Katy Perry won't be making an appearance on the soundtrack.
PSI Thunder? Also, SimBigShell.
Apparently some guy named Ahead dies in the game.
There's only one.
HOLY SHIT EPIC SPOI--oh that's the title of the game.
I guess we actually see the official start of Outer Heaven in the game. We kind of already knew this, though.
...no. ....NO! ...NOOOOO!!!!!
What?! You're going to leave it at that? A blank title?! HOLY SHIT! WHAT ABOU--
UPDATE: Thanks to kissdreams who gave us a link to another tracklisting we now know the title of track twenty-eight: 恋の抑止力 which is the Japanese name for "Love Deterrence." As the maxi-single for Heaven's Divide/"Love Deterrence" has four different versions, I can't confirm that this will be the same version as in that video.
