Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes will be ported
Fact: The Twin Snakes is a GameCube exclusive!

I can't believe I am typing up something regarding this subject. Years after
the game will be released, people will realize I was right and they were wrong.
However - they might not. They might wait, even after they reach puberty, for something
that will never happen.
Now that sounds a little arrogant, doesn't it? Thing is, I have facts. People who
oppose my view on this subject don't, or their "facts" to back up their view happens
to be based of a completely different scenario, in which they are dumbfounded when
I prove this.
This happens for a lot of debates and arguments. But before that, let me apologize.
You probably have no idea what the hell I've been blabbering about for the past
This myth article is about how Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, a remake of the 1998
cult classic Metal Gear Solid, will never EVER be on a console other than one that
Nintendo would approve of, most likely, one that is owned by Nintendo.
In order to prove my point, I will present this in a FAQ style. Please excuse the
horrible typos and what-not by the person who's supposed to be arguing with me.
He's around thirteen years of age, uses AOL, hates the GameCube, and think he's
going to "0\/\/|\|z" me or some crazy shit. This is realistic fiction, meaning,
like Sons of Liberty, all similarities to real people are mere coincidence. So
enough with the hatemail!
Shall we begin?
Little known fact: Konami isn't making the game. But the people who made
the game shown above are.
m4n fuk the gc, i will get twin snakes 4 ps2!
Sorry but Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is a GameCube exclusive. Meaning
it won't be released onto Playstaion 2.
yes it will in a mnth or 2 after it goez 0n gc
Do you know who's making the game?
kojima 0f corse! lol u r dum
"You're a strong man. The Boss wouldn't port on a non-Nintendo console either.
But then, it might be because Miyamoto would bitch-slap him. Ah, whatever.
Had enough yet..."
No silly. Guess again.
Nope. Silicon Knights.
who r dey?= i nvr herd of dem
Developers of Cyber Empires (1992; PC, Atari ST, AMIGA), Fantasy Adventures (1993;
PC), Dark Legions (1994; PC), this development team was originally developers of
Dungeons and Dragons styled RPG games. They then worked with something different,
which ended up being Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain (1996; PC, PlayStation). At this
time, Nintendo decided to buy the company. BUY. Meaning they own them. Anyways,
they started working on Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for the Nintendo 64.
Since the '64 was near doom at the time, Nintendo then told them to work on it for
the GameCube. Eventually in 2002, it was released. Miyamoto referred Hideo Kojima
to this development group when KCEJ (EDIT 05/09/06: KCEJ is now called Kojima Productions)
were too busy with Snake Eater - and inexperienced with the Nintendo GameCube, to
work on the remake.
Ok, to make it simple, Silicon Knights is owned by Nintendo.
Now you THINK this is where the guy would understand, nod his head,
and just walk away, right? Wrong. Well... some of them understand, and then
agree: it is a GameCube exclusive. Obviously, with this fact placed upon
them. But some just don't get it...
yea cuz itz sti1 g0na be on ps2
Why on earth would Nintendo have one of their development teams develop a game for
another console? It makes no sense.
jus cas it sez gc only dont mean it wnt come out 4 other systems l8ter
That's not my point. My point is why the fuck would a company have it's game released
on a rival companies' console?
lol fuk man dont u remember mgs2? sonic o n gta3 an vc to!!!!!!!!!1111111one1111eleven1111
*slams head against wall*
lol i got u on dat 1
No you didn't. Do you not understand what the hell I'm saying here?
r u goin 2 say a lot of stuf now?/
You asked for it buddy.
"Sony ain't the boss of us."
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was, and still is, a PlayStation 2 exclusive.
Why? It's true that Sony does NOT own Konami/KCEJ. KCEJ and Sony had a contract.
The contract would not allow the game to be released (sometimes not even to be developed)
on another game console and/or for PC until it expires. It eventually expired, but
KCEJ found it would be better if they released a re-release version, Substance,
onto other consoles.
In fact, a similar contract was the reason behind Substance being released on Xbox
first in the United States. Konami made a contract to release a Metal Gear title
on the Xbox, thus, Substance was initially an Xbox exclusive, though it was mended
so it would expire much shorter than Microsoft hoped for. Why would companies do
this? For the developers and publishers, they get money or "benefits" out of the
deal. For the console companies, an exclusive - a good one that is - just might
be enough to push someone into buying their console (A lot of Metal Gear fans have
already bought a GameCube just for The Twin Snakes, need I remind you). Grand Theft
Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City were like that. Rockstar is not owned by
Sony, thus, after it's contract expired, it released onto PCs. It eventually even
re-released both games onto Xbox.
In other words, KCEJ and Rockstar were NOT owned by Sony, thus, they were able to
release their products on other platforms.
i went 2 da silc0n nite site n it doesnt menson nintendo owning them
They also mention "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain" as their "most recent" game in their
Brief History. Judging by that, the site is not up to date. However, interviews,
articles, and other sources, show that it is a Nintendo owned development team.
For example, an interview with Dennis Dyack (president of Silicon Knights)
from Nintendo Power, when asked about Mr. Iwata (president of Nintendo) he responds:
"You know, we’re the only first party that has someone who
knows how to make games as a president of the company."
Why would he say that unless he was a part of Nintendo? He is. Silicon Knights is
a part of Nintendo.
we11 i dont n0 bout dat
Nope, you didn't.
n e wayz i was g0nna say but u interupted, wut abuot dese pics
Ah yes. These pictures bring somewhat of a confusion to some. These were from
a interview conducted by 1up.com, talking about the progress in Metal Gear Solid:
The Twin Snakes, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Now why these bring confusion:
the screen shows Twin Snakes, yet, no GameCube is to be found. Instead a PlayStation
2 is found.
yah c dat provs it
No it doesn't. Analyze the pictures closely...
Left picture: Figure 1 is a wire, coming from an unknown source, to Kojima's
hands. We'll get back to this. Figure 2 is the video input cables coming from, once
again, an unknown source, which is NOT the PlayStation 2. Last, but not least, Figure
3 is the fact that no controllers are plugged into the PlayStation 2 at that moment.
So where is the game running off of? Where are the wires from? Most likely, Kojima
is holding a GameCube controller, from a GameCube, which is running the beta version
of The Twin Snakes, but you just can't see it from this picture.
Right Picture: The GameCube controller right there should tell you what's going
on. If that's not enough, ass pirate, the fact that the PlayStation LCD light is
red, meaning it is powered off, should prove my point - there's a GameCube in that
room which was not shown in the photograph, and the PlayStation 2 is shut off, not
running anything, let alone a port of Twin Snakes. Since some of you would go "LOL
I CANT SEE IT U DUMFUCK" I pasted an enlargement of the power button, clearing showing
it to be red instead of green, which it would be if it were to be on. Since some
of you will respond with the same sentence when I mention that, I put an fat red
arrow there. If you respond in the same way, please give me your home address, for
I will load up my dad's magnum, walk to your house, and shoot you in the fucking
eyes. Snake Soup What!
wut if dey like r reely usin a ps2 controler but r showing da gc 1 so it looks
like dey arnt not makin it 4 ps2 so...
For fuck's sake! Here's something that will make you shut up:
GameSpy was also at the interview along with 1up.com. They took that picture
you see to the left. This clearly shows the GameCube being used! (Yes, it's huge,
almost the size of the Xbox. I'll explain why later.) Since some of you are once
again, vision impaired, I edited the photo (which you see to the right). Figure
4 is THE MYSTERIOUS CONTROLLER CABLE that seemed to be connected to absolutely nothing.
Well, now you can see it's connected to a GameCube controller port. Now since that's
a rather LARGE GameCube, you kids might still doubt me. Very well, I shall go on
and about, just to prove something dumb. It is a GameCube development teams use.
The major difference here is that it is able to run GameCube games that are burned
to a disc, so it's easier for development teams to test their games. It might also
have on-the-hand debug modes, but I'm not too sure. Anyways, that's what they're
using. Lastly, Figure 5, to prove this once and for all, are the video and audio
cables from the dev-kit plugged into the television set.
wel fuk u gc sux balls mario is a fag
Hmmm... apparently, sir, you are reading
the wrong article.
Seriously. You want Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes? You need a GameCube. Emulation?
Yeah maybe - in a couple of years, but by then, GameCubes might be cheap enough
to buy just for one game. Oh, so you only own a PlayStation 2, and you feel like
Konami and Kojima himself have betrayed Metal Gear fans by making a GameCube exclusive
game? Shut the fuck up you whiny little bitch! Get a job.
You don't have to buy a GameCube... at least you'll get this sweet game.
Ever seen screenshots from this particular upcoming Metal Gear game? To the
Yeah. It's a PlayStation 2 exclusive. A NEW Metal Gear game that adds to the story,
has new gameplay features, new characters, a new story, and much much more. Let's
not forget, you can play the first original Metal Gear Solid on your PlayStation
2 (backwards compatibility) and you've got the best version of Metal Gear Solid
2: Substance. GameCube owners are still waiting for their first Metal Gear game,
which is a remake of a game you probably already have. So stop bitching.
EDIT: 05/09/06 - Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes is the ONLY Metal Gear game in
the GameCube, besides a port of the NES port of the MSX version - which was bundled
with the premium edition of The Twin Snakes. PlayStation 2 owners are able to play
Metal Gear Solid, VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Substance,
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Subsistence (which also includes the classic
Silicon Knights quit Nintendo, but since they made The Twin Snakes under Nintendo,
the game is owned by Nintendo.
No fucking way we'll ever see this game on anything besides the GameCube and the
Wii due to it's backwards compatibility.
If The Twin Snakes game ever gets released on another console that was not made by Nintendo, expect a nice Zelda
port to go along with it as well.
