Cheats
for Nintendo Gamecube
"Title Screen Boredom"
-
If you're really bored, pressing the L-Trigger will slow down the double-helix
snakes from rotating while the R-Trigger rotates the double-helix snakes faster.
"Cinematic"
-
During a cutscene, Holding the R-Trigger zooms in and the C-stick can move
the camera around.
"These Soldiers Are Genetically... Fun!"
-
If you shoot that blue exclamation point above the guard's head you can actually
knock the guard out.
-
Punching a guard directly into his crotch will knock him out. Don't try that
at home, kids.
-
If you are really stealthy, you can actually place a C4 onto a guard's back.
have fun with this.
-
With Stealth Camouflage, shooting some guards will make them blame on their
own and not call for back-up!
"Keep On Hanging"
-
While hanging off a ledge, holding the L and R triggers will make you do a
pull up. Doing 100 will increase your grip meter, and doing 100 more after that
will make it even longer. But it won't go any longer after Level 3.
-
Falling off of a ledge and quickly pressing "Y" near a ledge below to hang
onto will give you the equivalent of 10 push-ups.
"Pissing Off The Asian"
-
Keep on calling Mei Ling and don't save. Eventually, she'll stop talking to
you. Keep it up, and she'll stick her tongue at you. You fucking asshole!
-
If you feel very bad, call her again and save. She will forgive you.
"Mmmm... Meryl."
-
For those who are renting, stealing, or pirating the game, or is unable to
find Meryl's Codec frequency on the back of the DVD Case, it's 140.15.
-
Want to see Meryl in her panties again? When you find Meryl in her disguise,
she runs to the women's bathroom. If you manage to get to the last bathroom stall
in under five seconds, Meryl will not have enough time to put on her pants! Oh
my!
-
Stare at Meryl in first person mode. She gets quite nervous. I'd be, too.
-
Hurt Meryl. The game will not allow you to move for a minute, and she gives
you the most painful slap ever.
-
If you hurt Meryl and quickly hide in a cardboard box near the wolves, the
puppy wolf-dog will pee on it. On a good note, equipping that box will make the
wolves not hurt you.
"The Quick and Efficient Method of Transportation!"
-
In the back of the delivery truck, equip a cardboard box.
-
A guard will drive you someplace. The place will be designated on the box's
description in item select menu.
"1UP"
-
Shooting the Mario figure in the Computer Room adds a little bit of health
to your Life meter.
"Psycho Mantis and Nintendo"
-
Have a save file of either The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker,
Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, or Super Smash Brothers:
Melee on your memory card. When Psycho Mantis reads your mind, he'll mention
them.
"Turning The Tables on Psycho Mantis"
-
Think Mantis is cheating? Switch from controller port one to port four while
"HIDEO" displays on the screen. Then battle him!
"Animal Rights Activist Campbell"
-
Kill some rats (like when you are battling Sniper Wolf with the PSG-1) to
get a message from Colonel.
-
When you are battling Vulcan Raven underground, kill some ravens to get another
message from Colonel.
"Maximum Ammunition and Items"
-
To get more bang for the "OW!" complete all five torture sequences. Your equipment
box will have all items and ammunition up to max.
"Which Path Will You Choose?"
-
There are two endings to Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. After clearning
a certain ending, you are able to view it again in Demo Theater. Two of them will
give you a secret item which you can use if you load the saved game. And yes,
you can get both items by completing the other ending the next time you play it.
-
GOOD ENDING - Escape the prison cell WITHOUT submitting to the tortures. Ocelot
will not kill Meryl and she will manage to live. At the end, Meryl will find and
give you the Bandanna, which gives you unlimited ammunition when equipped.
-
BAD ENDING - Escape the prison cell WITH submitting to the tortures. Ocelot
will kill Meryl. Otacon will escape with you instead, and will give you a Stealth
Camouflage unit which will enable Snake to not be seen when equipped. (Bosses
can still see you)
-
You can also unlock the Tuxedo Demo after beating the game three times.
"The Specials"
-
After you beat the game once, "Demo Theater" and "Boss Survival" modes which
would be available in the Special section.
"Are You Extreme?"
-
Beating the game once unlocks Extreme Mode, which is the hardest difficulty.
"Codec Moments"
-
To get the Camera, get the Level 6 Security Card. Go back to where you blasted
the wall to where Ocelot fought you. There should be another place to blow a hole
through to the East of that hallway. Throw a Chaff Grenade to confuse the drone
guns and go through the level 6 door. Crawl through the hole in the fenced area
and you should find the Camera there.
"Bond vs. Spiderman"
-
Beat the game twice on the same save file. The third time you play it, Snake
will change into a tuxedo in the first elevator. The ninja will also look a lot
like Spiderman. Lastly, Meryl will be wearing a babydoll version of Snake's sneaking
suit.
