Cheats
for Sony PlayStation 2
"Listen Up"
-
There is an in-game sound test available. To access it, do the following:
-
Equip the cigarettes and using the transmitter, access frequency 140.07
-
Changing the frequency and going back to 140.07 plays another tune.
"Tap Tap, Tap!"
-
You can hear someone using noises later on and Colonel Campbell tells you
that the person is using Tap Codes and you should look in the manual for more
information. Kojima Productions didn't put the tap codes decoder in the
manual. Here it is:
-
A B C D E
F G H I J
L M N O P
Q R S T U
V W X Y Z
1 2 3 4 5
6 7 8 9 0
-
One knock means down a column and two knocks mean going right a row. And Taps
are the number of times move down or right of a column or row.
-
If you still don't get it like a lot of other people, the man who is using
Tap Codes is saying "14082."
-
Later on, Campbell will give you tap codes to decipher his new frequency.
It's 140.66.
"Finding The Secret Video Cassette"
-
Once you get the Zanzibar Land Brooch from Natasha, equip it in the sauna
located in 4F of Building One and it will eventually turn into a key.
-
Go quickly without getting caught out of the sauna and to the lockers located
out of the room. Equip the key and open and look inside all of the lockers. If
the key cools down, it'll turn back into the Zanzibar Land Brooch.
-
The tape has the Zanzibar Land National Anthem on it, which the soldiers must
stop in their tracks and salute to. However, use it wisely as the tape is not
in good condition, so after a few uses, it will break.
"DayQuil. Or Something Like That."
-
If you get a cold, you can get medicine in 4F of Building One. There are located
in the other side of the dark room with the sauna. The door to the pills has a
red cross on it.
"Unlimited Ammo, bitch!"
-
Beat the game once in any difficulty to unlock the BANDANNA item.
-
Similar to it's counterpart in Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons
of Liberty, when equipped, the Bandanna gives Snake unlimited ammunition.
"Fight Everyone!"
-
Beat the game once in any difficulty to unlock BOSS SURVIVOR mode.
