MGS4: Delayed! Again! Mwahahahahah! UPDATE

I'm betting this is the reaction most Metal Gear fans will have after reading this headline on this very delicious Halloween:
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"
Or "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?!?!?!"
But yes, whereas at first the game was supposed to be release sometime next month, and then delayed to sometime before March 2008, it has now been delayed to Q2 2008, which can mean that you impatient fucks... have more time to make some money and save up for a PlayStation 3.
As for me, I'm actually glad that Kojima Productions still respects their "product" enough to risk pissing off children, Europeans, fanboys, Sony, Konami and general idiots by taking their time to make sure that the end result is not shitty. Bungie claimed that rushing to meet a deadline was the reason why Halo 2 didn't meet their own expectations.
Of course, if Guns of the Patriots ends up like shit after the delay, that just makes things worse. Still, this totally goes along The Dam's statements regarding how the demos at Tokyo Game Show and EForAll this year were technically the beta versions and while I know they're getting a lot of shit right now, I salute them for taking their time because to be honest, it would be their best interest to release it early due to the cost of development.
In other news, I'm going to be Master Chief as Halloween even though I'm not a Halo fan. EDIT: No, seriously.
UPDATE 11/01/07: Remember how I told you that from a business aspect Kojima Productions are going through a great risk by delaying the game? Well, Konami Corp. stock dropped 6.8% after the announcement. My advise to Konami would be to start giving out a limited-edition preorder bonus for Q1 2008 to pick up interest. Is MGO ready? Maybe give out the "starter pack" for those who preorder, right? As for me, I'm wondering if I should invest in Konami Corp. (KNM) stock myself with the price-per-share as low as it is right now... either way, this further proves my point that they're not delaying it for the laughs or because of Major Spoiler's war.
